Yes! We have had such outstanding interest in our Validation and Language Workshop, we are running one THIS month in Brisbane!
The aim of this workshop is to educate health care providers and families to understand people with a brain injury better. The workshop highlights the importance of validation and language when communicating with all Brain Injury individuals.
Brain Injury – Validation and Language is a workshop aimed at all health care providers and families. It is approximately three hours long, and is designed for audiences of up to 20 people.
We can facilitate more people with slight changes to the workshop.
The workshop is interactive, allowing the participants to draw on their own experience, if any, and gain new understanding.
So many who have a brain injury and the families affected are not provided with specialised support. Having participated in this workshop, your staff will gain the knowledge to offer that specialised support.
I suffered a brain injury in 2012. This ‘invisible’ disability went unnoticed and unsupported for over 12 months. It is my passion to provide peer support to others with a brain injury and to educate families, health care providers and the disability sector to understand what it is like to live with a Brain Injury.
I hope to see you there!
