Hello! We have been asked about these for a while and now we are DELIVERING them!
I am so excited to introduce you to our Workshop, Brain Injury – Validation and Language.
The aim of this workshop is to educate health care providers and families to understand people with acquired brain injury better. The workshop highlights the importance of validation and language when communicating with all Brain Injury individuals.
Brain Injury – Validation and Language is a workshop aimed at all health care providers and families. It is approximately two hours long, and is designed for audiences of up to 20 people.
We can facilitate more people with slight changes to the workshop.
The workshop is interactive, allowing the participants to draw on their own experience, if any, and gain new understanding.
So many who have a brain injury and the families affected are not provided with specialized support. Having participated in this workshop, your staff will gain the knowledge to offer that specialized support.
I suffered a brain injury in 2012. This ‘invisible’ disability went unnoticed and unsupported for over 12 months. It is my Angela’s passion to provide peer support to others with acquired brain injury and to educate families, health care providers and the disability sector to understand what it is like to live with a Brain Injury.
I have attached a snapshot of the feedback received from our last workshop, presented to the staff at Yumba Bimbi Support Services, Emerald, Katrina Smith, tel:0749877933, admin@yumbabimbi.com.au
I look forward to speaking with you shortly.
Kind regards
Angela Kalantzis
